Our assignment was to take 100 pictures at Batsto and pick out 50 pictures.
I took this photo of the trees line with the water and red ball because I thought it was an interesting shot and how it was a mirror image due to the lake. Also, I thought the red ball served as good central subject/ point of reference for the photo.
I took this picture of this post that had a tiny house on it to show off an upward angle shot towards the sky.
I took this angled upward facing shot of that thing again to get a more dynamic shot.
I took this picture of the ceiling of the building I was in because I thought it was a cool example of symmetry, and patterns. However, I did accidentally skew the frame right when I took the picture but I didn't realize it until afterwards.
This picture was of the clearing that was in the entrance at Batsto and I took this shot because I thought it would make a nice wide angle shot. I actually spent the time adjusting the exposure and iso of the camera so when I took this photo, the sun was still present and had a nice effect but didn't blow out details of the clearing.
This an up close shot of a few leaves using the dutch angle.
I took this close shot of this wooden structure at Batsto because I thought it looked interesting.
I took this picture of this building's hallway because I though it would be a good picture show off an eerie atmosphere.
I took this photo of the side of this building because I thought it showed off a cool pattern and the age of the building.
I took this wide shot of this building with cutout between the two buildings with the sun coming in because I thought it made an interesting composition element.
This was another picture in which I wanted to convey an eerie mood by turning down the exposure so that lights were dimmer.
This an up close shot of the wheelwright sign showing of the wearing and iconography used for the "logo"
This a close up shot of the blacksmith's sign again showing weathering and the iconography used.
This a better shot of that foreground subject showing off better detail.
This a shot of the sign that directs you all around Batsto. For whatever reason, the white balance in this shot came out noticeably cooler.
This is a nice wide shot of the lake with the tree line framing the lake and also the reflections in the lake itself.
This shot shows the origin of the water and how it was flowing underneath the bridge to the river..
This is another shot that is similar to the other one in which it shows the origin of the water and how it was flowing underneath the bridge to the river.
This is a more downward facing angle shot of that water flow and how threflection demonstrates how it is indeed below the bridge.
This a shot of the fire hydrant near the lake with the park bench in the background showing off visual balance.
This is a picture of what looks to be a porch bench in front of this house.
This is a nice picture of the curved path that is in the trails that I took while walking.
This is a picture I took of the lake but from a different perspective through the trees.
I took this picture of the leaves in the trails I was walking because I thought it was a good example of a breaking the rules because while it is close to be a repeating pattern, its not quite there.
I took a straight on shot of this bird house/windmill thing because I wanted a good eye level shot.
This shot is similar to the other one except from a different angle.
This shot I took of the plant life while walking around was taken because I thought it would be a nice nature shot.
This is a nice head on shot of a house in Batsto where the trees frame the shot slightly.
I took this picture of these wooden pieces on the tree because it almost seemed as if they were used as footholds at some point for someone climbing the tree.
This is a wider shot of that structure.
I took this wide shot of the tall building that is in the far back because I thought the buildings in the foreground of the shot would convey some good depth.
This a zoomed in shot of the tower at the top of the building using the surrounds and space around it to frame it.
I took this picture of this building from a certain angle to portray how long the building is and give it depth.
I took a zoomed in picture of that walkthrough with it framing the tree in the background.
This is a picture of a wheelwright's shop that i took because I thought it was an interesting piece of history when people needed wheels to be made/repaired by someone in town.
This is a shot of the blacksmith's shop I took with the sun again in the shot. I thought this would make a good picture because it almost looks like its sunrise for the blacksmith because the shop looks darker in this shot.
This is a nice shot using the roof of the building to frame the background and foreground subject.
This a shot of these rods coming out of the water that show the woods or almost swampy nature of certain parts of Batsto.
This is a close up shot of that sign with a much more accurate color tone.
This is a good shot I took of the water running underneath the bridge and how it flowed from the lake into the river.
This is just a shot I took of the water flowing down one level and to show the ripple details in the water.
This is a picture of the water that was flowing over the edge that was underneath the bridge.
This is just a picture a took of the plant life along the water line that I thought looked neat because of the reflections and how it was framed with the water.
This is a picture of a wood pile in Batsto that was stacked up.
This is a picture of a sign that directs you to the nature center.
This is a nice picture of the straight path that has the fence line and tree line framing it out.
This is a picture of more of the plants that were at Batsto with the tree line in the background framing it and showing the depth in which it stretched.
